Chevron CEO David O’Reilly has been traveling America to convince the American people his company is committed to alternative fuel development. To show its commitment, Chevron claims it will be investing a couple of billion dollars in alternative fuel development over the next few years. The only problem, as the San Francisco Chronicle reports, is:
Some of the money the company says its spends on alternative energy, however, doesn’t pay for research. [Chevron spokesman] Paul said the company does not reveal how much of its alternative energy budget goes to research and development.
