Oil ripoff update: As reported by Harpers’ Magazine online, Congress may vote as early as today in favor of Iraq’s proposed oil law, which would hand control of much or most of the nation’s oil wealth to the major oil companies. Oil Change International has started a fax campaign to the Democratic leadership, though it seems at the moment that only Rep. Dennis Kucinich is raising a fuss.
