OilWatchdog’s admirable older cousin, the web site ExxposeExxon, is calling on shareholders to vote for three reforms at Exxon’s May 30 annual meeting. Here’s the link to the resolutions, and a way to tender your vote to ExxposeExxon.

Independent resolutions like these almost never pass, but if they reach a decent threshold of votes, they get noticed by media and other shareholders, particularly institutional shareholders. So it’s worthwhile to go to the trouble, since Exxon certainly won’t care if the resolutions get few votes. One of the resolutions would bar the CEO from being board chairman,  one is on greenhouse emissions and the third calls for more Exxon attention to renewable fuels.
