Yep, oil prices kept dropping over the weekend, down about 9% over the last week. But gasoline prices hit a new record of $3.26 nationally on Sunday. So did diesel, at a shocking $4.06–hammering the cost of every foodstuff and manufactured product, to say nothing of truckers on the edge of bankruptcy. Yep, it’s the season when Chevron, Exxon and friends look to their refineries for the big profits. If we all changed our names to Bear Stearns, government might notice.
