We Californians have had about all we can take of slogging through a dozen ballot initiatives on the Nov. 4 ballot, most of them from narrow special interests. Those special interests include natural gas billionaire T. Boone Pickens, whose Prop 10 would snatch away $10 billion from California taxpayers to fund rebates for vehicles that would run on (of course) Pickens’ natural gas fuel. The opposition has less money than Pickens the Pickpocket. But it’s got ingenuity. Here’s a nifty crossword puzzle on Prop 10 from Tony Rubenstein, one of the first people to sound the Prop 10 alarms.
