In response to Rep. Burgess’ questions concerning the specific nature of the Macondo well, Hayward continues to assert that he does not have specific information, demonstrating an embarassing [or legally clever] lack of technical knowledge.
Burgess then asks about the mechanics of BP’s other wells in the Gulf of Mexico and around the world. We drill "hundreds of wells," responds Hayward.
"That’s what’s scaring me right now," quips back Burgess.
